HOW DOES IT WORK?
SkinPen Microneedling creates hundreds to thousands of “micro” skin punctures per second to stimulate the skin’s natural wound healing process – inflammation and proliferation – to prompt tissue remodeling without causing scar tissue formation. Most patients can return to normal activities within 24 hours.
Microneedling is the insertion of very fine short needles into the skin for the purposes of rejuvenation. SkinPen by Bellus Medical is the first FDA-cleared microneedling device in the world, clinically proven to safely and effectively treat facial acne scars for ages 22 and up. According to a 2008 study, skin treated with four microneedling sessions spaced one month apart produced up to a 400% increase in collagen and elastin six months after completing treatment.
The SkinPen Microneedling procedure typically takes approximately one hour in total. 30 minutes to apply a medical-grade topical anesthetic to the skin and approximately 30 minutes to perform the procedure (more depending on size of surface area). The topical numbing agent makes the SkinPen procedure comfortable & relatively pain-free. Most people report feeling just the slight vibration of SkinPen during the procedure.
How long does it take and will it hurt?
The total healing time depends on each individual. What skin types respond well to the peel?
Immediately after the peel has been applied the skin will either appear red, like a sunburn, or darker. On day three, peeling will begin. A take-home post procedure kit will be given to you containing and SPF and The Perfect Derma Moisturizer which will reduce the visibility of peeling by hydrating. By day six or seven the peeling process should be complete.
Normal activities may be resumed immediately post peel. I recommend avoiding heavy exercise and excessive sweating during the peeling process.
The day the peel is applied the patient should not put any makeup or other products on his or her face post peel. We recommend waiting until day two of the peeling process to apply makeup.

Like hair growing back on any other part of your body, you may feel the hair prickle a little bit as it grows back, but more often for the darker, coarser hair follicles. I promise, it's worth it.
DOES THE HAIR GROW BACK THICKER AFTER?
Skin can appear a little pink and often feel a little sensitive for the first 24 hours but tends to subside in a few hours. Sunscreen should be applied post treatment.
What does it feel like and look like post Dermaplaning?
I recommend dermaplaning to be repeated every six to eight weeks (every skin-renewal cycle) can be added to any treatment as a boost.

The vampire facial, otherwise known as a PRP (platelet-rich plasma) facial, has been widely talked about ever since Kim Kardashian underwent the procedure during an episode of the Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Saline tattoo removal is a method of removing pigment from skin using a simple saline solution. A sterile, microneedling hand tool is used to deposit the saline solution into the skin. This solution binds to the pigments, breaks them down and draws them out of the skin. Several sessions may be needed depending on the size of the tattoo and amount of pigment being removed. Pain and down-time are significantly less in comparison to laser tattoo removal. Cosmetic as well as “regular” tattoos may be treated with this removal method.
what is saline tattoo removal?
Saline removal is effective on all types of tattoos, regardless of age, color and location. This includes both cosmetic tattoos and conventional tattoos, done with any type of machine or manual tool. Your tattoo must be at least 30 days old before removal. Black tattoos are often more resistant to removal, meaning you may need an extra session or two.
Will this work on my tattoo?
Effective, topical anesthetics are used for numbing before and during the procedure. Pain threshold levels vary from person to person and some individuals may even have a resistance to anesthetics making them not as effective. Every effort is made to ensure you remain as comfortable as possible for the entire process. Ideally you should feel little to no pain, only pressure. Preparing for your procedure in advance really does make a significant difference in how much pain and swelling you may experience. Make sure that you are well rested, sober, hydrated, and have had something to eat prior to your appointment.
The number of sessions needed depends on several factors and varies from client to client. The tattoo’s size, age and location as well as the type, depth and color of pigment(s) used will make a difference. Black ink is the most difficult to remove and may take several sessions. Desirable results take an average of 3-6 sessions depending on the depth and pigment of the unwanted tattoo, among other factors.
During and immediately after the procedure you may see a small amount of bleeding, this is normal and necessary for creating the “controlled scab.” For the first 24 hrs the skin may appear bright red and gradually begin to scab. During days 2-4 a scab will be present and eventually fall off naturally. The scabbing process is highly important and will contain the pigment that has surfaced from the procedure. After the scab falls off, the skin may appear pink or discolored for a couple of weeks before returning to its original shade by week 4. Sometimes pigment that has spread underneath the skin may rise to the surface before coming out completely. In these cases, it may appear that the tattoo has “bled” to surrounding tissue. This is all part of the process and will be addressed during future sessions. It is important to remember that saline removal is a process!.

I use the gun method vs. needle for quick, easy service. I only pierce cartilage areas which would be your first or second hole on the lower part of the ear. I provide a choice of stud jewelry which is inserted into the gun, and the gun pushes the stud through the ear very quickly.

How old do i have to be to get pierced?
Getting your ears pierced can hurt, but it depends on the individual person. Some people have a higher pain tolerance than others. The first few days after your piercing, you can expect redness and swelling. You may also notice that there’s soreness when you apply pressure to the piercing, so consider sleeping on your back for the first few days afterward. The lobes may hurt to pierce. The fleshier parts of the ear have both nerve endings and blood supply, so you may have some pain and bleeding. If redness and swelling come back after the initial soreness has ended, you may have an infection. Consult with a doctor to determine if you’ll need antibiotics or a topical cream.
The recommended minimum age is 16 with a parents permission. I often get asked if I can pierce babies and toddlers and this is not a service I provide because it is risky and would prefer two gun piercings at a time to eliminate twice the amount of pain and shock.
